After 8 years of suppressing untimely
splutters from concert-going audiences, Sela Traditional
Sweets has this year truly enhanced its profile at Birmingham's
world-renowned concert performance venue, Symphony Hall.
This has been achieved by teams of its staff turning up
dressed as the famous "coughing city gents",
complete with bowler hats, to hand out free samples of
Sela-Cough® to concert audiences outside the auditorium.
The first of such concerts was a recital performance in
February by opera diva Kiri Te Kanawa, where a packed
audience were kept quiet not only by Dame Kiri's exquisite
singing, but also by the soothing and relieving properties
of Sela-Cough® lozenges!
The company plans to
extend this initiative to a whole series of orchestral and
recital concerts during the coming Autumn/Winter season of
concerts at Symphony Hall, as well as other prestigious venues
up and down the country.
