Tom Watson MP, victorious at the General
Election this May in the constituency containing Sela's
Thynne factory, West Bromwich East, made Sela his first
industrial visit in the constituency. Tom has taken
over from the well known and long-serving MP Peter Snape,
who retired from the House at this election. Tom has
made one if his missions to help the economic regeneration
of the area, and chose one of the oldest companies in
the constituency to make his first fact-finding mission.
He was given a full factory tour, where he even got
a chance to try traditional sweet making for himself!
Here you see Tom with James Roberts, fifth generation
member of the Roberts family to be involved in the business,
trying out Sela's famous Pineapple Rock.
