Sela did its bit raising money for Comic
Relief by helping people with real red noses on Red Nose Day.
The firm, which has been making its famous Sela-Cough® lozenges
for over 75 years, set up a stall in the busy Pallasades
shopping centre in the centre of Birmingham on Red Nose Day
(Friday 16 March 2001) to sell packets of Sela-Cough® to passers
by at £1 per packet, with all proceeds being donated to Comic
Relief. The Sela-Cough® packaging features two coughing city
gents in bowler hats as its main logo, taken from an original
1930s advertising poster for the product, and the Sela-Cough®
Comic Relief sellers were therefore dressed to match, complete
with red noses of course! |
