Sela have offered the "noise control"
services of the famous Sela-Cough lozenges to Celador,
the makers of the TV quiz show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?
The show has recently been beset by scandal, with police
helping a top-level enquiry into claims that the latest
million pound winner, Army Major Charles Ingram, was
aided by people in the audience coughing. In the show,
which is yet to be screened, producers noticed that
audience members were coughing as he answered key questions.
Sela's James Roberts commented "Our Sela-Cough
are famous world-wide for their cough supressing properties,
and have been used to good effect at some of the most
prestigious classical music venues in the world in order
to prevent coughing there. If the programme makers are
now concerned about people coughing, we would be only
too pleased to help. This way, there would be no excuse
for the audience to cough, and it would send out a strong
message to the audience how any sounds from them could
be misinterpreted."
